![]() PRESENTATION |WORKS AND LOCATION |SPIDER The Sculpture Garden, with landscaping by Roberto Burle Marx, is a permanent exhibition of sculptures conceived for public spaces. Its 25 three-dimensional Brazilian artworks are distributed around an area of 6,000 sq. m. Most of them belong to the museum's collection. It is located in front of MAM's main office, between the Biennial and Oca pavilions in Parque do Ibirapuera. This project was conceived as a way of energizing the boundaries between the museum's interior and exterior, as implied in the building's architecture, and it reached fruition in 1993 through a campaign called "More Ibirapuera for you", sponsored by Banco Real, São Paulo's city hall and the Roberto Marinho Foundation. |
